Many Lives Mark This Place by John Hartman

The Canadian Embassy in Washington is pleased to present the exhibition, Many Lives Mark This Place, by John Hartman, a prominent Canadian artist. One of the dozen paintings on display is of Katherine, above Mt. Rundle near Banff Alberta.

John Hartman embarked on this project to capture the intimate relationship Canadian authors have with their personal places of inspiration. The portraits celebrate the richness of Canada’s literary fabric and speak to the power of the imagination in experiencing the diverse landscape which links Canada together.
The exhibit is open Monday to Friday 9am to 5pm free of charge at 501 Pennsylvania Avenue N.W.
